A tech entrepreneur who grew up working in his family’s farm shop has launched an AI-powered app designed to help people eat better, spend less and build healthier routines.

Aaron Loveman, who graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Sheffield, spent more than a decade in the tech sector at major firms including Hitachi and Hewlett Packard, progressing into senior leadership roles.

But after seeing first-hand the challenges families face around nutrition and the impact of managing type one diabetes in his own family, he decided to build a solution that could make healthy eating simpler and more accessible.

In 2024 he launched The Good Food Family, which has since evolved into Tucki – a gamified AI app designed to transform how families plan meals, track nutrition and develop long-term healthy habits.

“Tucki is the stronger, more complete version of what we originally set out to build,” Aaron said.

“It combines everything we learned from speaking directly to families and understanding the pressures they experience around food, budgeting and daily routines.”

The platform uses AI to tailor meal planning, nutritional guidance and budgeting tools for each family member.

It also includes a progress leaderboard and reward system to keep users motivated through small, positive habit changes.

To validate the concept, Aaron returned to the family shop where he had worked growing up – speaking to more than 200 families about their struggles with time, cost, organisation and maintaining healthy routines.

He said: “The aim is to save families money, make everyday nutrition easier, and support long-term health.

“The physical and mental benefits are huge when people feel in control of their habits.”

As Tucki continues its rollout, the company hopes to help thousands of families build healthier relationships with food through education, tech and sustainable behaviour change.
