A “hidden gem” pub that was once a public toilet is the capital’s “best kept secret” to watch the Euros.
The High Cross Pub, in Tottenham, often has football fans flocking in their droves for a quick pint – or two.
And with the European Championships in full swing, it offers a “little escape” in the bustling city to enjoy the matches – including England v Denmark on Thursday 20 June.

“I’m excited to see the turn out for our second match in the Euros,” Alex, the owner, told Absolutely Business.
“We had quite a few people in for Sunday’s game, but I’m not expecting masses of footie fans to turn up.
“It’s only a small pub with two televisions, but I’ll invite my dad down and there’ll be a few of the locals that will pop in to enjoy it.
“There’s a huge pub down the road with a beer garden that I imagine most people will go to.
“But if you don’t want to be surrounded by rowdy fans, spilling and throwing beer over you, then it’s a quaint little place to tune in.”
Alex, 35, decided to develop the building after it had been a public toilet left derelict for 30 years.
In 2017, as part of a regeneration scheme, he applied and got approval to turn it into a pub.
Since then, customers from all over the world are shocked when entering inside.
He said: “It’s like a Tardis.
“I’ve had people come in saying they remember using it as a toilet when they were kids.
“Some others get blown away by how nice it is inside.
“It has exceeded what I ever expected.”
England’s second match in the Euros is due to kick off at 5pm.
At the pub, there’s 10 lines on tap, with pints starting from £5.50 and a menu including cheeseburgers and pies to enjoy as the team bring it home.
