An enterprising adolescent asserts to have generated £120,000 ($150,000) through the sale of a practical invention – snowploughs designed to attach to footwear.

Michael Satterlee, a self-proclaimed innovator with a history of creating unique items since the age of 10, unveiled his latest creation that has gained significant popularity. These snowploughs, crafted using a 3D printer, ingeniously attach to ‘Crocs.’

The 16-year-old, hailing from New York, shared a video showcasing the product on Instagram (@solefullydesigns), amassing over 65 million views.

In an interview with absolutelybusiness.com, Michael expressed, “With an idle 3D printer at home and a love for Crocs, I thought why not create something unique for them.

Michael, a student who taught himself 3D printing and supplemented his knowledge with engineering classes at school, highlighted the multifunctionality of the ‘Snow Plow Crocs.’ He emphasized, “They’re not just funny; they can clear any amount of snow in your path.”

Offering the product at $6.99 (£5.50), Michael claims to have achieved sales exceeding $150,000 (£120,000). The viral Instagram video exhibits him donning ‘Crocs’ equipped with the yellow attachable items, effectively demonstrating their snow-clearing capability as he walks.

The post accompanied by the caption “Put these bad boys in 4 wheel drive” has garnered remarkable engagement, accumulating over 1,215,000 likes and eliciting 11,000 comments from intrigued viewers.
