A man has revealed how he’s making up to £5,000 a month from an “easy” side hustle – and you can, too.

Michail, 28, moved from Greece to the UK, along with his wife and their child, in a bid to earn better money.

He started out working as an Amazon delivery driver, but still wanted to find a way to boost his monthly income.

The dad tested being a waiter, a barman and grilling meat in a Greek-style kitchen, before hearing about Airtasker; a services marketplace.

Now, he’s earning up to an extra £5,000 a month assisting people moving house – and he’s still able to enjoy time with his family.

“I have the freedom to choose when to work, as I’m the boss,” Michail, who lives in Rainham, East London, told Absolutely Business.

“We like to go out to the countryside, see friends, go to the cinema – and much more.

“If there is something we really want to do, we will do it.

“Having the flexibility really helps.

“If I count the hours I work at Amazon, and then for Airtasker, the money I earn [doing this side hustle] is triple.”

Michail used to work as a bartender and receptionist during the summer months before making the move in 2019.

With seven years of courier experience under his belt, a local suggested using the outsourcing company.

He initially took on smaller tasks, such as moving furniture, earning between £60-£100 per job.

After racking up some impressive five-star reviews, he was able to accept larger jobs – and take home more money.

Michail’s story comes as Airtasker revealed that August is the most common month for Brits to move home.

And with his services in high demand right now, he’s often working up to six hours extra each day to complete tasks.

He added: “I enjoy having conversations with people and prefer the work as a removal man.

“I started by helping friends move in the past and my experience grew from there.

“No job is too small and all tasks are great; it’s really worth looking into if you have the skills and spare time.
